The New York Yankees are a billion dollar corporation. This very popular team plays their games in the Bronx, which is one of the boroughs of New York City.
Their big off-season signing wants to live in the big city. As a result, the team had to work with a real estate agent to make this happen.
Real estate broker Andrew Azoulay has reportedly been paid $17,000 for finding Masahiro Tanaka an apartment in the City, according to ESPN’s Darren Rovell.

We do not know the price of Tanaka’s apartment. However, it has to be a hefty price tag with the broker receiving a $17,000 check from the Yankees.
Tanaka is 10-1 this season in his first Major League Baseball season. Before joining the Yankees, he was a star in Japan.
He signed a seven-year, $155 million deal with the Yankees in January. Despite the seven-year deal, he has a clause in his contract, where he can opt-out of his contract after the fourth season.
Tanaka also has a full no-trade clause in his deal. This means that as long as Tanaka plays well for the Yankees, he cannot be traded.

He last pitched against the Seattle Mariners on June 11th. He is scheduled to pitch today against the Toronto Blue Jays.
He has won his last four starts. He has not lost since a 6-1 loss on May 20th against the Chicago Cubs.
